Orthodontic treatment and adults

About Orthodontics for Adults

Orthodontic treatment is not just for children. In fact, one in five orthodontic patients is over 21 years old. With the invention of more discreet orthodontic appliances, such as transparent braces and clear aligners, adults feel comfortable going out in public at all stages of treatment.

Before treatment

Before starting orthodontic treatment, we will first check what are the main issues of poor alignment and also check for pre-existing dental problems. We recommend that you treat any oral health problems, such as damaged teeth and gum disease, before orthodontic treatment.

Types of Orthodontic Treatment for Adults

While traditional metal braces are sometimes used in adults, our patients usually choose a more discreet, convenient orthodontic method. Options include ceramic braces, clear aligners such as Invisalign® or lingual braces, which are placed inside the teeth and are therefore invisible when you smile.

We welcome patients of all ages to our orthodontic practice. Call us for more information on how we can transform your smile!
