The Orthodontist

Orthodontist Georgia Pappa completed her secondary education in 1991 at the 5th General High School of Thessaloniki with excellence. In the same year, she entered the dental school of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with a scholarship from the IKY (State Scholarship Foundation), where she completed her basic dental education. After graduation, she completed her postgraduate training at the Department of Dentistry of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. At the same time she participates in the European research program "TASTY 2: Tools for analysis of serial sections in microscopy" (in collaboration with the Department of Informatics of AUTh). In 2000 she began her specialty in the department of Orthodontics at the School of Dentistry of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. During the three-year training, she completes treatments for patients with all kinds of orthodontic problems, including patients with syndromes, clefts, sleep apnea, while receiving a scholarship from the IKY every year.

The specialty of orthodontics is completed with the acquisition of the title of orthodontics in 2004 with examinations at the Central Health Council (KESY). This is followed by her doctoral dissertation, which ends in 2014 with a Ph.D. degree from the Department of Orthodontics at the School of Dentistry of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Her presence at conferences both abroad and in Greece is regular. She is a member of the Dental Association of Evia, the Dental Federation of the United Kingdom, and is a member of a number of scientific societies such as the World Orthodontic Federation and a founding member of the Greek Orthodontic Aligner Society. She has been running a private practice in Chalkida since 2004. She is married and has two children.
